Right to benefit from services
Every individual who applies to health institutions has the right to benefit from diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitation facilities at the highest level. Patient has the right to choose his doctor, choose the health institution or change it at any stage of the treatment.
Right to be respected
The patient has the right to go through an examination, learn diagnosis and treatment in a respectful, gentle, compassionate, and friendly environment by protecting the patient's dignity at all times and in any conditions.
Right to privacy
Patients have the right to request to be in an environment that provides adequate visual and auditory confidentiality with their physicians. Patients has the right to refuse to speak to or see people who have no official contact with the organization, including visitors who are not directly related to the treatment.
Right to know the identity
Patients have the right to know the identity and professional responsibilities of all the employees with whom they come across during the treatment.
Right to be informed
Patients have the right to receive complete and recent information on all processes of diagnosis and treatment, and the possible course of the disease through themselves or their legal heirs. They also have the right to access the medical documentation of the organization and to receive a copy of the medical documentation related to them.
A patient who does not understand the official spoken language has the right to request an interpreter for communication purposes, provided that an interpreter is available and the patient can pay for it.
Getting consent from the patient
The patient has the right to participate in the decision making process regarding his/her treatment, except for medical and legal obligations.
Right to request consultation
In line with the patient's own request, the treatment proposed as a result of a consultation with another specialist is carried out by the health care institution staff where the patient is present, in case of consensus with the patient's physician.
Right to refuse treatment
The patient has the right to refuse the proposed treatment.
Examination and treatment prices
The patient has the right to request and receive a clear and detailed invoice of the costs paid for the service provided by the health care provider.
Right to social and psychological support
Patients have the right to wear their own clothing, use duties and / or symbols related to their beliefs, receive social and psychological support, have companions, and accept visitors, unless they interfere with diagnosis or treatment.
The patient has the right to be informed about the outcome by starting, reviewing and finalizing the complaints mechanism, taking into account the nature of the complaint.
Health organization's rules and practices
The patient has the right to obtain information about the hospital's rules and practices that will be applied to him/her as a patient.
The patient has the right to request correction of the false data related to his/her illness and treatment process submitted is in his medical records.
Right to practice Religion
If the price is paid and available, the patient's legally authorized representative has the right to bring a cleric to pray according to the patient's religious practices.
The patient should provide accurate and complete information on current complaints, illnesses, whether he was hospitalized, the treatments applied, the medications he/she used, and his health.
Follow the treatment plan
In principle, the patient is obliged to comply with the treatment plan recommended by the attending physicians responsible for his/her treatment.
The patient is responsible for the consequences if he refuses treatment or fails to follow the doctor's instructions.
Inspection and treatment expenses
The patient should inform the health institution during the application process, how the health expenses will be covered and from which institution. The patient is obliged to pay the amount stated for the treatment and within the period determined by the institution.
Those who are covered by private and legal third parties such as treatment expenses, government, public economic institutions, banks, health insurances, SSK and Pension Fund should bring a written letter or shipping sheet proving that the third party will cover their expenses.
In cases requiring urgent intervention and treatment, the patient or his legally authorized representative should bring the letter from the institution of the patient later.
Those who have the right to get free treatment should confirm these rights with legal documents.
Health Organization's rules and practices
The patient must comply with the health care institution's theories and practices regarding treatment and behavior.
The patient must consider the rights of other patients and hospital staff.
The patient must comply with the precautions taken by the health care institution in situations such as noise, smoke and the high number of visitors that endanger patients within the health care facility.
A patient with a suspected or diagnosed infectious disease should not request to be discharged, unless he / she has permission from their authorized doctor.
The patient should not request the administration of any medication that is not approved by the authorized physician or is not included in the treatment plan.
Patients should accept their visitors within the framework of the rules set by the health care provider.
Responsibility for Indemnification
The patient has to compensate for any damage done to the fixtures and consumables of the health care institution, either by improper use or deliberately.
