Varicose veins, with its simplest definition, is a human-specific disease that occurs in the form of enlargement, elongation and twisting of the veins, especially in the legs. It has not been detected in any other mammal. The reason for the enlargement in this system, which is responsible for carrying blood from the feet to the heart (from bottom to top), is the deterioration of the functions of the valves in our foot veins (venous insufficiency).
