Osteoporosis is a systemic disease that occurs when the bones in our body decrease and become weaker and more fragile as a result of their deterioration which affects the entire skeleton. Osteoporosis has become one of the most common diseases today with prolonged life expectancy and the increase in the elderly population.



Bone density is measured for the diagnosis of osteoporosis.
During the treatment of Osteoporosis, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Specialist, Internal Diseases Specialist, Nutrition and Dietetic Specialist, and Physiotherapist should evaluate and treat the patient as a team.
